Can I connect them using an HDMI chord and use my g1s screen as the screen to play my games. Only asking this because I wont get my actual tv until sometime this weekend and I really want to play some games.

From what I can see, no.
You only have HDMI out on the G1S.
There is a PCI-E card that will give you HDMI in, but you would have to buy and expresscard to PCI-E adaptor, and then it just gets overly expensive.
($250 for the card and about $100 for the adaptor)
You could however just find a normal TV-Tuner, but then you would have to play it at NTSC/480i rather than whatever the PS3 can go up to.

HDMI is output only, not input, so as Miyabina mentioned, it won't work.

You can connect it as a media server using tversity.
I've used it before and it works really well for streaming vids/music/pics.

Edit: You have to have a wireless netword set up to use it I believe.
