I can't stand having the cursor go all over the place when I type 'cause I touch the pad and I always use a mouse.
Preferably nothing permanent.
Thanks

George, try pressing F2 shortly after power on to enter BIOS, There may be an option there to disable the touchpad.
Or go into windows - control panel - mouse - there should be a setting there to disable the TP.
This may be of help also http://www.ehow.com/how_7148906_disable-asus-eee-pc-touchpad.html -
I tried the mouse settings but couldn't find it. I'll try again, thanks
Can I disable the trackpad on my Asus 1000HE?
