    It's impossible to customise the top buttons to your liking.
    But there's an alternative by using your keyboard to map your favourite programs. Right click the program icon, select properties, hit the shortcut tab, and look for the Shortcut key text box. Add your own shortcut key there.

    actually you could for older versions of asus, but that did not work for my w3j and probably won't work on you a8j either

    Impossible is such a strong word. Anyone who has ever programmed knows that there is a way to change what opens when you click the button. Its a question of legality and feasibility.
