Hi was wondering if I can hook up my G1S notebook up to an old component TV. I want to watch movies from my laptop on my TV. Unfortunately it only has component no S-Video. As if I can do this will I get the sound to come out of my TV as well.

If it's an old TV I think you might be thinking about composite connection with a yellow rca and a red/white audio rca.

Component is the three rca connections with Red Green Blue rca & red/white audio.

If it is composite, you could achieve this with an S-video to composite adapter (video) and a mini jack to rca adapter(sound).

Just some examples, you can pretty much fine these everywhere.
