    Hi guys.

I've just recently got a X50RL which comes with XP Pro pre-installed. Normally if I was setting up a system from scratch I would install separate boots for various purposes (off-line gaming, internet, etc). The question is, can I do that from the Asus recovery disk?

I've seen references on this forum to a clean install of XP if you don't put in the driver disk when requested. However, I've also seen comments which suggest that you can't actually specify a partition to install to, which would obviously make the idea a non-starter.

Clearly, there's no point in my charging in and partitioning the drive without knowing if it works, so can anyone give me the gen on this? The only references I've found on here to dual-booting relate to two different O/S's.

    Ta.
