Well, considering the recent events here in this forum (and especially in my case), is there a possibility for Asus to perform upgrades such as CPU and GPU? The layout of the G50's motherboards are identical with the VX version, so it shouldn't be hard for them to replace a G50 mobo with VX with Quad support - don't you think?

It'd suck alot of you're being forced to buy another basically the same computer with a few components replaced, and i don't have much of a economy. I just want to upgrade some components to make the laptop better, and no, i don't want a desktop. I bought a gaming laptop as a DTR and want to keep it that way. I like my Asus gaming laptop (except for the LEDs), but i of course want it to be better.

I don't know but, are you GenTechPC (Ken i believe?) allowed to sell specific parts or perform upgrades? If not, do you (or anyone) have any tips? I live in Sweden so G51VX isn't here yet nor do asusparts.eu possess any replacement parts with that model.

Asus sells motherboards and laptops cases. I wouldnt be surprised if they sold that mobo. After all, most people that buy it from them/bb would not want to build their own for various reasons anyways. However, I doubt asus themselves would install it but GenTechPC or someone similar might do it for you. I'd PM Ken, or whatever the guys name is.
