Okay, I brought an Asus notebook for work but am slightly confused with the array of model numbers on the boot screen, specification sticker and model number stick on the back,- they are all seemingly conflicting.
The sticker on the front of the notebook says: X53Sseries
The back sticker says: X53S
The boot screen says: F3Sr
Now, Ive assumed that my laptop is the X53Sr but now im thinking that it could be the F3sr
The Asus website lists both X53sr and F3Sr models and both have seemingly the same drivers.
Specs: Duo T5450, HD-DVD DRIVE, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM (NOW 3GB DDR2), Ati Hd 2400 graphics, 160harddrive.
So anyone know what model mine is, or am I just idk...

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Both models are identical, using the same chassis, components, drivers etc - Asus will vary the prefix model number depending on where on the globe it's sold. For example, my model is the Z63a but in Asus' world it is actually the W3A.
In North America, it would be the F3Sr. You have the X53 based on your not being in the US. -
Thanks thats cleared alot up,- honestly I was thinking I needed glasses!!!
Can anyone make sense of this?
