    Hello,
    The HDD is a 2.5" Toshiba 120GB 5400 rpm.
I have an external case for it (which it was primarily shipped with) and there is a software stored on it which partitions the drive and one partition is secured, the other "public".
20 Gigs is partitioned as the security partition, and my question is, can I format somehow the whole drive to erase this software completely to have access to all 120 GB's?

Also can I connect this HDD to my laptop (as I have a second space for an HDD) and will this stored software not cause any problems for the computer?

    Software is SecureDrive EX

You should have no problems deleting the partitions and reformatting. When you connect the drive, don't allow autoplay to run any software that pops up, just close the box, go to disc management, and then you can delete the old partitions and create a new setup.

I just popped it into my computer and Windows said that devices driver software was successfully installed but the HDD does not show up in My Computer or anywhere. Any suggestions?

Do I have to enable something in the BIOS?

Go to the Disk Management tool and look for it.
