if not....what can i upgrade ? i already check sticked asus g1s thread...didnt seem to help me

You can only upgrade the system ram (i think you have 2GB now) and you can upgrade the hard drive (like to a 7200 RPM drive)
I'm gone upgrade my G1S to a Hitachi 7K200 160GB soon AND I'm gone upgrade my ram to 3 or 4 GB (you need vista x64 if you want 4GB ram) -
how will the dual channel be affected if you use unmatched pairs, obviously you will have a 1gb and a 2gb stick in there, i have built tons of computers but never delt with this uneven amount before, was thinking of doing the same, but i thought it better to just do 2x 2gb and have the 3gb limit be in effect, or recognized.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Dual channel really makes a performance difference in desktop systems only. In notebooks the delta is less than 1-2%, which will only (maybe) show up in benchmarks, but not in real-life distinction.
Even if you go with 4GB (with all the attendant problems this can cause in Asus systems - see multiple reports around here) the system isn't going to properly address the upper reaches of the 4th GB anyway, so you're still running at an asymmetric amount. -
i agree, but wanted to see what other people have done with their notebooks. i am very experienced with desktop systems and i have an old amd 2800 xp or 3200xp running at -4 celsius or about 22f which i can push to almost 3ghz. i machined my own water jacket and used a medical chiller or refrigerant unit to cool my water outside the computer, then i wrote a simple program to monitor temps in dos, and it switches on and off the cooler to maintain a regulated temp of up to -10 c. 0 is easy to maintain. i have no problems pushing the cpu from 2.0 ghz to almost 3ghz as far as i know that's the most i have heard of. with water. later

Umm that all sounds pretty high tech. All I've done to mine is added more ram and replaced the measly 160gb hard drive with a 250gb one. What I would like to do is be able to add the TV tuner to mine, but I don't think it's possible.
Can i uprade my video card ram? (asus g1s)
