    Ive been wanted to recover it but im afraid i have no idea what too do. are there any step by step instructions in how to recover my g1s?

    The computer came with a recovery CD in the carboard box that was in the G1S box :) Just put it in and follow the steps.

    Better to use the recovery partition instead of the DVD - it cuts the reinstall time by 75%.

    As the computer starts (as soon as you see the Asus logo) press F9. This will launch you into the recovery partition. From there, select which partitions you want to restore to (most people will select the option to restore to the first partition only) and let it do its thing.
