    1) can you run two external monitors from the V1Jp, without the docking bay?

    - Both having different windows open on each screen. Not splitting the desktop into two screens!
-One setup with the notebooks lcd and andother lcd.
-Another with two external lcds and the notebook lcd off.

My thinking is to have one screen with a poker game or two running and the other with a dvd, game, other browsers open, ect...

The notebook LCD and one external definitely works(As I've done it myself), though I'm not too sure about the two LCDs, you may need some sort of device for that, or mess around with the drivers.

I'm using it with 2 monitors, the notebook LCD screen, and an external LCD, tested both with VGA and DVI connectors. I've also used it with 2 external LCD's (plus internal) using the Matrox DualHead2Go analog. It works always fine.

Sorry if I misundestood, but can you run 2 external lcds using the DVI and VGA without the matrox dual head?

Anyone know if the docking station will support dual external lcds via dvi and vga?

I normally only have one LCD panel hooked to it, but I managed to get a hold of another LCD flat panel for the moment and hooked it up. From the looks of it, you can plug any number of monitors to it, BUT it will only work with TWO at a time. ie: Desktop 1 = one monitor, Desktop 2 or Clone = one monitor. Totally sucky. And here I was thinking I could wire three monitors to this thing... :( No big loss...

Anyway, as far as DualHead2Go goes, it is technically "one" monitor as far as the laptop is concern, but with twice the resolution. The unit takes the signal, splits the signal into two so that you put two monitors side by side to display what would've been on this "one" monitor.

Also, if you have a docking station, it provides you with a VGA and DVI connector. These connectors REPLACE the ones on the laptop when the unit is docked, meaning that you can't use the ones on the laptop shell since the signals are being redirected to the dock (already tried it).
