Well if it's unavailable in BIOS there can be several explanations:
    - not available on your sub-model of M51Va. Sometimes model configurations are different for different regions. Did you ever have a TPM device showing up in the BIOS?
    - TPM hardware or firmware malfunctioning. Would probably require motherboard replacement (depending how important it is to you)
    - BIOS bug or feature not implemented. Try updating/downgrading BIOS and/or resetting to defaults.

I have check - my model don't have tpm hardware.

Maybe this is bios bug like you said. Because everything is working good, no problem. I have install older bios ( 210 ) but tpm problem was still :(

I think that is no need to replace motherboard - because all other is working properly.

Well if your (sub)model doesn't have TPM hardware then it's not a BIOS bug -- there simply is no hardware, so no BIOS option.

    Unless I'm missing something...

What do you mean by "bios is searching this ? " I'm afraid I don't quite follow.

Aha. Sorry I didn't look at your first screenshot until now.

Well I don't know... maybe some M51V submodels have a TPM device and the BIOS is coded in a generic way, so it tries to detect the TPM device and it finds it doesn't exist.

Other than that, unless it's taking a significant time during boot to test for TPM, I would suggest not to worry about it too much.

I think that this bios are made for notebooks with/without TPM device. And when you don't have TPM hardware you will see something like me.

Maybe with new bios this "bug" will be corrected. For now i leave this problem, because there is no problem with that.

I had this on my G71V

Its the same bug that looses the 2nd HDD with the BIOS.

Go into the BIOS and load the system defaults. Save and exit to fix the problems. If you load the BIOS defaults I believe it messes things up.
