My UX301La is giving harddrive error messages on bootup - it is getting ready to die. I have been trying to get the machine to boot from an external bootable floppy and bootable USB (so I can run Redo), but I can't get the USB or A: drive to show up in the boot options. I have Googled the issue, but so far none of the solutions I have tried have worked for me. I can get into the bios conifiguration, and I can get into the F9 menu. But nothing I have tried brings up the external bootable media when I do a cold start.

Anyone have recent experience with this, and a fix?
