I purchased a X551CA a couple days ago and I've just re-installed Windows 8.1 fresh to get rid of the bloatware. At first my USB wouldn't boot but after some quick googling I found that I had to disable Secure boot control/fast boot and enable the Launch CSM option in order to get it to work. After doing this, it booted up fine and I formatted and reinstalled Windows without issue. The problem I'm having now is that I can no longer re enable fast boot (booting is noticeably slower with it off) and attempting to do so just makes the laptop re enter the BIOS automatically when I save settings/restart. Under the "Boot" category, "Boot Option Priorities" is blank (before it had 2 devices or options there but I cant remember exactly what it was) and I can't add or remove boot devices.
I have tried restoring BIOS defaults but that doesn't work, so I'm at a loss as to what to do next?
Edit: Not my picture, but it looks exactly like this: http://i.imgur.com/txVSIQV.jpg

I believe you need UEFI enabled in order to have the option for Fast Boot (I could be confusing that with another feature that requres UEFI, though).

Yes you have to do a UEFI boot from the install media on install in order to get UEFI booting.
