i HIGHLY highly sugget Canadasys. There's a location in North York, which is a 25 minute drive for me from Mississauga. Good luck.

Thanks I know where that is in markham used to drive to canada computers store in the mall down the street.... Priced a laptop ... good price.... are they good tho quality wise?

    :: EDIT ::

I dont know if i can trust a company that puts pirated software to save money.... doesnt give me much confidence about their products... I am kind of skeptical about ordering online but i have heard good things from ISTNC so i might go that way since i am a student :) I wonder how much shipping and import fees are.... anyone care to share?

Yea, but it seems that was only their North York Location, I mean, honestly, form the outside, It DOES look quite shady

The Markham location looks, and in terms of customer service and price, a very good improvement.

Also, I think they probrably learned by now..

True, but if there's a problem, you'll have to ship it back, instead of just driving to the store and give them a piece of your mind :p

I'm not sure, but what about customs? I've heard that anything over $20 in value or issued as not a gift gets hit hard. If you issue it as a gift, or something, you don't get insurance on it?

Hmmm, I'd like to know myself, I'm eBay'ing pretty frequently now, so far no customs, but then again, nothing has been over $20 CDN before shipping yet :p

I have seen that djembe.... :) thats where i found these companies

How much would import fee be? (anyone have a clue)

what if the store isnt around in 3 years... the 2 in the area that i was looking at is

    CanadaSys and Lu Computers

I found Lu Computers on ebay and they have perfect score... but i have not found anyone talking about them in the forums and well CanadaSys i donno :| they are a tad cheaper but i would rather get a safe peace of mind im still stuck between the 2 in my area if import costs are tooooooooo much

    thanks

I've been doing the same types of research recently and came across this link, giving reviews of all the Toronto computer stores.

    http://www.torontopcstores.com/

    Specific to Canadasys:

    http://www.torontopcstores.com/index.php?board=17;action=display;threadid=20

Another dealer I found that sell Asus is Canada Computers and Electronics:

    http://www.torontopcstores.com/index.php?board=16

I guess these stores aren't really known for their customer support.
