Any locations in Montreal that sell a W3V?
Want to get one before/when I start university... -
Anyone ever dealt with or heard anything from a place called
Lu Computers on Leslie in toronto?
Thanks -
Thanks I know where that is in markham used to drive to canada computers store in the mall down the street.... Priced a laptop ... good price.... are they good tho quality wise?
:: EDIT ::
I dont know if i can trust a company that puts pirated software to save money.... doesnt give me much confidence about their products... I am kind of skeptical about ordering online but i have heard good things from ISTNC so i might go that way since i am a studentI wonder how much shipping and import fees are.... anyone care to share?
-
Yea, but it seems that was only their North York Location, I mean, honestly, form the outside, It DOES look quite shady
The Markham location looks, and in terms of customer service and price, a very good improvement.
Also, I think they probrably learned by now.. -
yea the markham would be the one i go to .... but i narrowed it down to 4 places
Lu Computers
CanadaSys
c9tech
ISTNC ( i think thats it )
WOuld anyone be able to put it in the order they would go with? -
Isnt both ISTNC and c9tech in the US?
-
yea but the amout i would pay in tax 15% kinda makes more then the exchange to us + shipping
-
True, but if there's a problem, you'll have to ship it back, instead of just driving to the store and give them a piece of your mind
I'm not sure, but what about customs? I've heard that anything over $20 in value or issued as not a gift gets hit hard. If you issue it as a gift, or something, you don't get insurance on it?
Hmmm, I'd like to know myself, I'm eBay'ing pretty frequently now, so far no customs, but then again, nothing has been over $20 CDN before shipping yet -
I categorized all the resellers on the "where to buy" page on Asus' website by location (US state and Canadian province). If you're interested, you can see the full list here: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=94364

Specific to Canadasys:

Another dealer I found that sell Asus is Canada Computers and Electronics:

I guess these stores aren't really known for their customer support. -
Thanks for that link
it looks like the markham location of canadasys is pretty good... ill have to check it out one day
