    Cannot read DVDs properly

    My g1s will never reconize a dvd when i first insert it, i ahve to click on the 'empty' drive and then it prompts me to insert the disc, and then is able to read it. what's going on here?

    It's not reading them period. everytime i try to right-click my computer crashes( the folder)

    you probably just have a faulty drive, or perhaps a more serious connection problem with the motherboard. send in the unit to ASUS with an RMA and they can rectify it easily
