I want to run Vantage, but there is no option to choose 1280X1024 resolution??

Is there a way round this, I tried adding a custom resolution to the registry but it does not work.

Does your monitor support that resolution? specifically, can you display 1024 vertical pixels at all?

If you have a 1366x768 screen, you need an external monitor.

God, it is always the simple things aint it? Of course that is the reason! Guess I need to push complaints more to futuremark for such a dumb resolution!

    Get used to it .
Seems only "high end" laptops have the option theses days for full 1080p.

    Exactly....
As N61JQ has a 16:9 aspect ratio 1366x768 resolution screen you can not select the resolution you are asking for. I can suggest you to be happy what you are getting (as you ve already purchased it), else it will give you more pain  You have to wait more 10 years to have high resolution screens for Asus laptops.

I remember my dear old G50vt-X6--which has been since sold to a friend--had a 16:10 resolution with something like 1680x1050. I miss 1024 vertical pixels.

16:10 seems better than 16:9 to me. It's the golden ratio!
