So i am trying to flash my bios on my video card with a downvolted version, i followed the guide but when i restart my computer to go boot from the usb drive, i get post, the screen goes blank, then reposts and goes into windows....what am i doing wrong?

I was unaware that the asus gtx260m had a vbios, I thought it was part of the onboard bios, and one of the reasons upgrading those cards was tricky.

it depends on the model. some models have cards with System/vBIOS, others, similar to the G50Vt series, have System BIOS and vBIOS. You'll have to figure out which kind you have, cause flashing might be completely useless. ;O

i figured it out, the program i was using to make my flash drive a dos boot device was not copying the files over, so i did it manually and it worked! HUGE difference in temps, i did the back plate mod, down volt cpu then OC'd it, down volt the gpu and put new AS5 on the heat sinks. furmark max temp went from 108c to 94c, 3dmark06 102c to 76c (yes i said 76)
