Shopping around for a carrying case or backpack for my G50VT-X5. Anyone have any recommendations? Don't need to be ultra fancy, just something that fits a 15.6" pretty good. Everything i find is 15.4" and I'm afraid it's not gonna fit.

Hmmm... kinda small. There enough room in there for all your accessories and stuff?

I don't own the Case Logic, but from the pictures and video, I'm actually really liking this bag. The inside compartment looks like it's enough to hold your AC adapter and external mouse, but it probably won't be enough if you plan on using the bag for school.

I'm in exactly the same position as you. I see so many 15.4" backpacks out there but I'm worried my G50vt-X5 won't fit. I'm trying to find a 16" backpack but since it's not a standard they're pretty rare. I travel a lot (fly over 10 times a year) and I always need to carry a few books, iPod, passport, etc, so I'm looking for a backpack as opposed to a carrying case or sleeve. Right now BestBuy has a few Swissgear Synergy's lying around, but I'm not sure whether my 15.6" will fit (it says 15.4"), but it looks roomy enough. I'm wary of buying 17" packs cause I don't want my laptop sliding around in there when I'm moving.

If anyone has any good suggestions for a backpack which can happily house a 15.6" laptop I'd love to hear your ideas. I've got my eyes on a Targus Bts Groove backpack, and also a "Targus Premium Notebook Backpack For ASUS laptops", but I'm not sure if the latter is designed for a 15.6" either.

I have this swiss gear bag: http://www.buy.com/prod/jupiter-mes...er-swissgear-jupiter/q/loc/101/202866544.html

It's made for 15.4in laptops so I was worried my 15.6in G50VT-X1 wouldn't fit. It's a little tight and I could definitely not go over 15.6in, but it fits like a glove. Lots of compartments too. I can fit my adapter, mouse, mouse pad and an ethernet cable (back when I didn't have wireless) with room to spare.

So if you guys are eyeing any 15.4in Swiss Gear bags, it seems like the 15.6in will just fit.

Comfortable? I have an Olympia non-laptop backpack, and that thing is extremely comfy.

I use this one http://www.caselogic.com/canvas_messenger_bag/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=96834 It's comfy but it lacks of inside pockets to organize power adaptor and other stuff, but it's pretty spacious, considering I carry the laptop, power adaptor, mouse (not mini mouse, a full size genius mouse), xbox360 controller and this http://www.vizo.com.tw/front/product/get_product_detail/71/3/1 laptop cooler, hehehe (yeah, i'm a spine problem waiting to happen). Hope it's useful information
