I was prepared to preorder the W2J on the 27th, but the advanced order date has been postponed.
Proportable...is there any reason or have they just postponed the the date that they were going to begin manufacturing them?
    Thanks!

Um, they are trying to relase a whole new line of duo core notebooks. ASUS has a lot to handle. While other companies are only making 2-3 duo core models, ASUS is making 5+ models (its a lot more, I just dont want to count) They cant start making the w2j if the earlier models werent completed exactly on time.

    BTW welcome to the forums.

The basis of the issue with the W3 stands for the W2.... although the W2's already been ordered, information was simply cut off because the old ensemble PM was fired and a new one not only moved over from Pocket PC's -- but had to come back to the US from Taiwan.... so as he's trying to get the hang of everything, information is at a standstill. ETA and configuration seems to be solid, but they still haven't confirmed actual production yet. The W2's advanced order was going to wait until that point, so, till we get it, we may hold off. Since the W2 and W3 are supposed to come in at the same time, we may open them both together. It's not to say the page won't open soon, but we're most likely going to hold it off a week.

    .... and ditto... welcome.
