Hi I want to change the 100GB 5400 HD SATA/150MBps to a 120GB 7200 rpm HD SATA/300 Mbps (ST9120823AS), but I don't be sure if the new disk will work on my A8Js laptop because the SATA/300 is fastest in MBps than the actual SATA/150 .

    Anyone knows this?

    Thanks

A SATA II (300MBPS) hard drive will work on a SATA I (150MBPS) controller. If the controller only supports SATA I, then your SATA II hard drive will not run at 300MPBS, but it will still work.
