Okay so, I was reading on some posts on the owner's lounge of ASUS laptops, and saw that people dont really know how to reset the hotkeys on the multimedia touchpad.

So, since I didnt know how to do this myself, I did some exploring, and figured out a way to change the keys :) This will be the first thread that Ive made here, and I hope it will be of help to people who dont know how :)

So, here's how to do it: (Even provided screenshots to make it easier for you guys, hope this helps!)

    1. Click on your Synaptics Pointing Device Icon and access Mouse Properties by clicking on Pointing Device Properties

Note: This can also be accessed by right clicking on your desktop, click on Personalize, then Mouse Pointers.

    2. This should open Mouse Properties now (see below). Now, click on the Device Settings tab, and you should see your Synaptics touchpad as a device listed there. Now click on Settings.

    3. Now, after clicking on the settings, the properties to your touchpad should pop up. What you do now is expand Tapping, which brings out 3 options. Choose Dual Mode and expand it, then viola!

In this small research, I also figured out that you can also change what the other keys do in the multimedia touchpad, like changing the mute button into opening a browser, etc. I haven't tried changing it though, but it shows you can. And I thought you can only change the two hotkeys found in the upper left and right of the touchpad, that's why I thought I'd mention this.

Also, it seems that there's a setting which lets you activate multimedia mode automatically upon plugging in an external device (Mouse? Probably, havent tried this yet). Last thing, I think this would work the same on any other ASUS laptops that has a multimedia touchpad (Not entirely sure if only the M50 series has it, lol)

Hmm.. Guess that's it. Hope this helps the people who wants to change the multimedia keys in the touchpad, and whatnot. :)
