How do I change the colors of an Asus G50 like these on the reviews?

Pick your poison? Its not going to come off so a skin or painting over are the real choices.
-
They weren't changed into that, that's how those models look.
I can't think of a feasible or realistic way to paint your G50 either. -

Sand paper, plastic primer are often missed steps in painting something like this. You need to prep the surface and then prime it so the paint actually has something to bond with. -
But the G50 comes as a Black and Orange colored notebook.
How do they look that way? -
So exactly how does it work?
Who would do it for me? -
G50vt-X1 = Blue lightning bolt paint job
G50vt-X5 = Yellow thunder paint job
They are both Best Buy exclusives, and specs wise are inferior to the online black/orange versions. -

Wait you actually want your's to have a design. I thought you wanted to remove it like most people do.
Your not going to achieve the affect they did. The paint is part of the plastic and was done using a proprietary method that varies by company to company. A skin is the easiest way to get a complex design onto a laptop.
@ Buhdahl - Call my laptop inferior again you'll be spitting more then soda lol. -
Okay cause what I wanted to was to have the Orange color as Silver instead and that's it.
Since there is no chance, the looks are not that bad that I can't bare with them. -
I'll do it for you! Any color you want. My fee is a mere $10K US cash up front.
The Bestbuy models come in those colors. There are drawbacks to those models but many people don't mind.
Edit: See ClutchX2, I didn't call it inferior.
To be honest, the first G50VT I bought was the Bestbuy G50VT-X1 because I got a screaming deal. It was a bit of an impulse purchase so when I got it home I didn't open it but instead did a LOT of research on the web (most of it here). I then did a list of pluses and minuses for each of the models. At the time the G50VT-A2 was my best bet. Mainly because of the extra features and free extended warranty. Looking at those items and the prices I got the A2 for made the purchase of the A2 a no brainer for me. I return the X1 the next day unopened and got my money back. Then got my A2 on eBay from BTOtech using $200 live Cashback and a 10% eBay coupon. All that was left was to submit my rebate for a free 3rd year of warranty.

Screen resolution is the primary gripe, with the processor being the second one... CLUTCHX2!
-
How will you do it for me?
Where is your location?
How can I trust you?
-
SURE you can trust me.
I'm just going to hire a few technicians to take the laptop completely apart, then have them do a micro sanding of the laptop skins and then take the parts to my friend's auto body shop to have it painted.
In all honesty though, if you would really take the time to sand, prime and paint, you could get it to look like anything you want. Except the lite up graphics because ClutchX2 is right, those are part of the plastic. It would be a very very time consuming task but it could be done. It might even be easier if you could find a way to sand blast the plastic skins without sand blasting the skins to pieces. Then you'd want a talented painter that can work with air brushes and you could have one unique and cool looking machine.
$10K should cover all of that and might leave a little for profit too.

Please Suki's car in 2Fast2Furious was done for 10,000 by house of kolor lol. -
I did say it might leave a little left for profit didn't I.
-
@ Souzoubutsu, since you're in Japan, the only way for you to get the G50Vt-X1 or X5 version is to get a family member or friend help you purchase it and have them ship it over to you. You can also try looking for one on ebay, but most sellers tend to avoid shipping internationally.

If you want to paint use krylon or the rustoleum stuff.
BUy 800,1500 and 2000 gritt sand paper.
Take the case off and sand it down with the 800 gritt(wetsand)
let it NATURALLY dry. Don't do it with a towel or something.
Once dried prime it up and then sand it with the 1500 again wet sand.
After let it dry again and do a few coats of the actual paint and in between sand with 2000 if you feel it needs to be shiny. If you want a glossy finish use the clear coat which i recommend. -
Just buy a LCD cover from eStore to practice with spray paint:

-

-
Thanks for the explanation, Mr. Milo!
Nice colors you've got there, Ken!
-
