I'm changing the HDD from the original 500GB HDD to 320GB HDD, upgrading it to faster RPM HDD.

Question is, because the laptop comes with a higher capacity HDD, can I change to a lower capacity HDD by just using the recovery DVDs?

Swap HDDs => insert recovery DVD => done

Is it as simple as this?

the partition that I see is as follows, (OS) C: 116GB, DATA (D): 334GB. Can remove and merge both partition together? How?
