On HPShopping.com, for about $800 you can get a Compaq v2000z with a low power Sempron CPU, 256MB of memory, 14" glossy widescreen, DVD burner, 5400RPM Hard drive, 12 cell battery and bluetooth. Upgrade the memory after purchase, that is usually cheaper. The Compaq is a nice little unit. With the 12 cell it will go about five hours. It has a nice screen and pretty good keyboard. Don't think you are going to get an Asus for $1k. Battery life with the Celeron Ms won't be as good since they do not support low power operations like the Semprons do. Good Luck.

Yeah...not many ASUS laptops come with bluetooth at the moment.
How about... the Z63a with a bluetooth DONGLE?
