I second that... it's simple, easy to use and comes with the system.. it's not 100% accurate, I don't think.. but it's pretty good.

MobileMeter monitors CPU frequency, CPU temperature, battery charge / discharge rate and HDD temperature and plots these to a moving graph.

SpeedFan monitors 3 CPU / motherboard temperatures and HDD temperature. It also reads the HDD SMART data.

I have MobileMeter running much of the time. There's a link to MobileMeter somewhere on this forum.

This is a part of the posting in another part of this forum for ya posted by Underpantman, [ :D]

You might find that Mobile Meter does better for you at monitoring temp (Also CPU speed, power usage and HD temp). It is free and can be downloaded at:

The version that arrived with w3v "from the box" (2.11) is the one&only that works. Other "2.11" versions donwloaded from asus dont work. I've to reinstall from original asus drivers CD to make it work. And the data gathered is... mmmm... don't know if I'd believe it. (dunno)

It's usually on the drivers cd under additional software.

It's on the included CD of your system. If you want, you can just download the latest version from support.asus.com, just punch in your laptop and check the utilities tab.
