This has to be the nicest monitor I have ever seen. Hopefully i can save up money after i recover from the W3J to buy this thing. Here's the link:

Supposedly Asus is also releasing a 20" widescreen.

Why don't they make higher resolution LCD monitors like they have high resolution LCDs for laptops?
That LCD has a good resolution, most 19 inch LCD are 1284 x 768 -

Yeah, slightly older news, but nice monitor none the less. Its too bad I bought a 19" a year ago a $100+ arm for it, I could get this for less and it is a nicer monitor. Oh the joys of technology!!!

Yeah, I've also seem/heard about that LCD already...the stand for it is quite kickass...the whole thing looks very classy!!! The good about that link is there are some very nice pics I haven't seem before.

It's not really that cool...... I'll have at least one of the 20 models here in a week or so... the 20" looks just like that one but has a 1.3mp digital webcam and a nicer WSXGA+ lcd....
... the stand is very, very, nicely crafted. -

Justin, can you give the model number for the 20" LCD, im curious of how it looks, and its functionality.
Yes this LCD is good, all its missing is horizontal movement.
It can move up and down, tilt forward 5 degrees and tilt back 25 degrees.
The stand is awsome!.
It has 2 speakers on each side of the LCD, and they are ok.
Thanks,

It's the PW201... It's basically the same in every way in a photo, plus the camera....

Ok we all know about the ASUS PW191 which is a 19" Widescreen LCD goes for around 450 Euros, about 400$ USD.
My guess is that the price is gonna be around 650 Euros, about 600 USD
Thanks,

Tom's Hardware wasn't too impressed with it, performance-wise.

oh yah your right, the biggest problem is the LCD panel, it sparkles and has bad performance. =\
Ohwell, let see how the 20" one does

Yeah... the 20" is totally different. I told you guys we weren't going to sell the 19"... I did have a sample and although the design is awesome and it's perfect for a high end office monitor... it's not for design and graphics work.... which is our real base. I'll let you know what I think of the 20", but I know how the specs compare and it should be pretty nice....... Right now I'm begging and pleading to have Asus import me one of their 32" and 42" lcd tvs..... They're never going to make it here, I know that... at least for retail because the cost of the 42" is more than the 42" sony's...... which is a hefty price tag... even though after comparing the specs.... asus honestly has an edge on them.... I just don't think they're ready for that market and you guys.... their base.. the notebook and media center guys.... don't have the money for them after building out the systems they have...

The price isn't set and neither is the ETA (really). Since my sample is just coming... probably in 3-4 weeks they'll be ready.. so by June. I'm guessing based on the 19" price and the upgrades on this one... I'd say $600 would be a steal for it.... I'd guss it might be more than that... probably in the upper price range of any 20" widescreen monitor that's out there honestly.... based on the design, quality and features...

yah true this thing has alot of nice features, I could see this thing going up close to 700$ USD.
For that price can't you just get a LCD Tv and then hook it up to your computer? Just curious.
Thanks,

Well the problem is getting an LCD TV that's WSXGA+.... I've got a 23" Sony that's WUXGA and there's not a chance that I could find a tv with that res. The 32" and 42" are probably WXGA+ at most... that's what the market has..... now if the 32" model is even something like WSXGA+... it would awesome and VERY expensive. At that res, I could hang it 10" away and still do decent computer work.....
Check out this Asus LCD monitor!!!
