    Choosing Asus is right ?

    Hi,

    i am a .Net programmer and i'm going to buy a notebook as my old laptop (HP Dv2000) is not working anymore.

    i am between K42JC and K52JR ,
    what is really important for me is long life (over 4years) with work everyday (15-20 hours).

    so is choosing asus for this usage is correct choice ?

    and what is the known issues for these 2 models i mentioned till today?

    Asus does make durable and long-lasting machines. So yes, you should be fine with an Asus.

    You should expect that from an Asus owner though. If you go to the OS X forums they'll say get an Apple. Go to a local Best Buy or computer store and have a look at some models they have on the floor. Test them out, pick them up, feel them up (lol).

    Thanks, because i chose Asus K series, i wanted to know is K series can do this long life with me ?

    or is it any known issue or problem (like heating, chip problem, lcd problem, ...) with them (K series) ?

    I have yet to see a complaint, and reviews appear to be good. Won't win any contents in beauty, but looks like a nice consumer-level laptop and I wouldn't be surprised if it lasts more than 4 years if you take care of it.
