Here is a list of all of the driver versions for the 8600 GT cards in the C90s. This list was compiled to help you figure out which driver would be best for your individual needs.
As a reminder, HDMI overscan is bad. Overclocking is good (for those who wish to overclock). The ideal scenario would be no overscan and able to be overclocked.
Thanks to swoley for all his help. All I did was put it together.
I will update as new/corrected information comes in.

for xp, 101.17 or 101.19? any difference?
-
According to swoley, there is not a difference.
-
Heck no. I only tried 101.19 cause it was the only one above the stock 101.17...I thought it would fix some things. but it didnt.....however, i may have fixed SOME problems over the stock ones but not for me... -

how bad is the drivers from nvidia site?
-
Do the xp v165.01 drivers work with the c90?
-
Added another chart with the BIOS Firmware on the first post.
-
Sorry in advance, since I'm sure this is a dumb question, but where can I find the 165.01 driver. The nvidia site ony has version 158.24 as far as I can see.
-
Try http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
They will have it but you will need to search. -
When I try to install 158.45 or 165.01 it says I'm not running Windows vista 32bit, when in fact I am. Any idea why that might be?
-
EDIT: I tried instaling the driver but I am getting an error saying: "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"
I'm not sure why I would be getting this error. Here is the link to the driver page (first on the list):

Try looking here. Sorry I am not more help... -
download the modified INF file, then find out where you extracted the driver files - go to that folder - add that INF file in there, and it will work -
-
thanks kickace! Wasn't quite sure about that since I am used to just clicking on the .exe
-
no problem, and to me the best is 163.11 but thats beause i dont overclock and it doesnt overscan.
im glad you guys even said anythign about overscanning because my last laptop before returning it (hp dv2500t) overscanned and i just thought there was no fix, so when i got this, same thing happened so i figured nothing would change and then i started hearing about overscan and was quite excited when it got fixed
50" plasma on this computer is beautiful when playing games. -
I forgot you can do that with these!
Even happier now!
Thank swoley for mentioning it. I just tried to put it in some kind of order. -
oh i read it a few weeks ago, just random threads, not really associated with any specific branded laptop (by you guys, i meant NBR
