    Hi,

first off, I just joined the forum because it seemed like the place to find info on my new notebook (U35J Series). I'm hoping I'm not starting a useless thread here.

I was reading through the instructions thread for a clean Win 7 Install but the problem with my laptop is that it did not come with a recovery disk. All I have is the Drivers and Utilities Disk and one with manuals.

All I can do is restore the computer to factory settings, which is something I don't want, because I don't want all the crapware that's included.

As far as I understand there's some sort of a hidden partition which is used for restoring the OS.

I believe what I need is a bootable disk/USB stick (I'd prefer the USB option as the laptop doesn't have a built in DVD drive. How would I make one though, considering all I have is the laptop and the drivers CD?

    Thanks in advance
