Hello,
Sorry for the long post but here is the description of my problem. HELPP!!!
I have a G2S-B2. When i intially got it i did a clean install with 64 bit vista home premium OEM. I realized that i didnt need the 64 bit and found some stuff to be kinda buggy. anyway after a few weeks i decided to downgrade back to the 32bit version today.
So i slapped in the Recovery Cd to do a clean install. I did what people said to do in order to get the clean install.. When it asked for the asus utility/driver cd i would just shut down and then restart so windows would fire up and then open CMD and do some stuff then restart. everything seemed good and normal.
Now the problem im coming across is with the utility cd. the first time i did the clean install, autoplay would read the cd ask me what i watned to do with it and i would click to run it the setup.exe. It would flash open then immediately close and thats all i could see.. however i could explore the cd. I tried to install a game and it did the same thing.
I did another clean install and now this time when i try to open the utility/driver cd it says 'An Invalid argument was encountered' then that box closes and the program window opens up as normal however there are no programs listed for me to install.
i tried to see if i could get around this by exploring the cd then installing stuff but when i tried to install ATK hotkey i got this error after installation finished "Cant Open ACPI ATK0100 kernel Mode Driver"
So as of now i have no idea what the hell to do. anyone who can provide me with some help i would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks
Clean install from recovery failure
