Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but what is the best way to clean an Asus U43JC Bamboo laptop? Is it safe to spray solutions on the bamboo finish? This bamboo surface is very sensitive and I'm afraid any water spill or spray would leave a permanent mark on the surface....

    Thanks!

I would try Pledge, spraying on a cotton cloth and then wiping the surface. The hardwood-floors formula of Pledge leaves less residue.

Usually with Pledge, once you use it on wood, you can just wipe clean with a dry cloth for quite a while before re-applying.

I did see some of these bamboo models at BB and think they look great, but I didn't think about how "sensitive" they would be.

We like our bamboo cutting board! :p

To maintain the luster of the bamboo, rub it every month or two with linseed or furniture oil intended specifically for bamboo.

To clean bamboo laptop, use a soft cloth or sponge and mild soapy water. Wring out excess water and wipe the wood gently. Choose an organic or natural soap rather than harsh detergent, which can damage or discolor the natural sheen of the bamboo.
