    Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendation on the best way to clean the G51 palm rest?

I'm not sure how good the rubber surface as compared to the normal plastic surface in the long run.

    Thanks in advance.

To remove fingerprints/ other dirt i use microfiber cloth (+sometimes with some water) and it works fine on the rubber. You could use the cloth to clean the plastic surfaces and even the screen. It's pretty universal.
I'm not sure whether a special product used to clean plastic surfaces would work well, or would it leave stains of fat etc.

The rubber palmrest is made of good quality rubber. As long as you don't move ur and all the time over the rubber surface, then nothing bad should happen to it.

For anything beyond slight dirt, esp on a rougher surface, use Mr. Clean MagicEraser - else, microfiber and distilled water for everything else.

Windex shouldn't go anywhere near a notebook.

The ammonia in Windex will mess with the plastic, nVidiaguru, especially if you use it on your screen. I can tell you how many clients came to me with warped screens saying that it started to act up on it's own and lie to me that they did not use an ammonia based solvent. Just use water and a microfiber cloth. If you want a little bit more cleaning power, use a bit of citrus cleaner diluted with water.
