So, as some may remember, I had problems with my laptop's keyboard, specifically the O, L and . keys were becoming unresponsive. The problem went away for a while, but it's coming back, the same keys again.

Before I try and see if Newegg will do anything for this with the warranty, I want to see if perhaps it's dirt or other such crap causing problems. Does anyone know how to do it with this type of laptop? Maybe pop out the keyboard somehow? Or do I just run a vacuum cleaner over the keyboard and see if it manages to clean it?

Try taking the keyboard out of the laptop and give it a good shake. Using compressed air is a good idea too. You could also try taking the individual keys out, but remember to be extra careful as their mechanisms can break easily if they are yanked incorrectly or too fast. Personally, if shaking the keyboard doesn't solve the problem, I'd go straight to Asus and ask for a replacement. You can request a new keyboard for your Asus and have them cross-ship it to you if your system is still under warranty. If not, I'd cough up the $20 for a new keyboard from the Asus estore and just replace it yourself.
