    Hey,

I have an asus g71g q2 which is pretty much the best thing that has ever happened to me...

however as of tonight ive come across a problem which i cannot seem to solve or find a solution to..
i've searched all over google and found nothing about it..
the problem is that my speakers are constantly making a clicking sound (exactly the same sound that you experience when you click on a link in ie explorer)...even if i dnt have the web browser open...
ive tried rebooting.. turning off for a while etc... but the strange this is the noise stops if i mute my speakers...and the volume goes up and down with the speaker volume which makes the think its nothing to do with the hdd or the computer itself but rather that ive stumbled across some unknown virus that noone else seems to have posted about...

can anybody help me out with this... it would be much appreciated !!!!!

    thanks in advance!

did you try uninstalling your sound driver and then installing the latest (or if you recently got an update the second latest)?
