    Compal HGL30 or ASmobile S62J?

    I can now get both of these in the UK but dont know which to get? Note W7's and the better A8's are not available in the UK....

    My concerns are quality, robustsness and battery life?

    I travel all the time and I am very hard on my laptops. Many do not last more than 18 months..... (much to the dismay of my insurer :)).

    The only thing I am unsure about is if the S62J has bluetooth and the quality of the webcam?

    I know the Compal webcam is a bit suspect...

    Given they are the same price for almost the same spec, what would you do??

    Do you plan on gaming on this unit? If so I would opt for the compal as it has a better GPU (the s62j is a 7400 go. That gpu is an entry level one. The 7600 is more robust). I also think the sound card in the compal is more standard so it should be better supported in all OS.

    actually, the s62j isnt even a 7400go, it's a 7300.

    I say get the Compal also, especially if they cost the same since as has been mentioned above, it's Go7600 vs Go7300 which is quite a huge difference.

    And... AsMobile.... I still can't get over this...... just sounds so.... dumb... whoever does these marketing words for ASUS should really be fired :)
