Anyone do a side by side?
Is the UL30VT-X1 worth an additional $200?

The only difference is the 30VT-x1 has a discrete (switchable) nVidia G210M graphics card with 512MB VRAM as well as the Intel integrated graphics, a smaller battery, and the A2 has a 2 year warranty instead of 1 year. Whether this is worth the difference only you can say, but if you play any modern 3D games or use 3D graphics intensive apps the GMA4500-only model will be a weak solution. By the way Amazon has the VT-X1 at $799 and the UL30A-A2 @ $731.59 so the difference there is only about $68.

What about the build quality. According to one of this sites reviewers, the UL80VT isn't very good when it comes to the build quality, and if UL30VT is it's 'little brother' i suppose, that the UL30VT got a bad build quality too?
I'm looking for a laptop myself, and it's a very hard choise. I think that I go with the UL30A because it might have a better build quality, and it's cheaper (here in Denmark the difference is only about $80). -
Read reviews for the UL30 they don't mention sub par build quality like the UL80.
The dvdrom drive in the 80 made the keyboard too flexible I believe is the main complaint.
UL30A and UL30VT are going to be same build quality as only difference is a main board
Compare UL30A-A2 and UL30VT-X1
