I am so confused what to buy or not?
ASUS or other?
I am kinda gamer and will be using this laptop for long time?
-
well it all depends what games you are going to play. besides you should find a laptop model that has 8700 or higher for real good gaming
what asus model are you looking at? -
games that can play at least crysis and call of duty 4 and so ...
dont know which one is best Asus model out there around 1200$ -
umm there is one with a nvidia 9500 which runs crysis ok but i would advice you to get a more powerful laptop that has a better graphic card like an 8800
-
which one?
can you advise me more man? -
ok look at the gateway p series
like the p6860 its only 1300 and it has an 8800 gts
or if you have big bucks look at sager and clevo or xps -
Crysis is arguably the most demanding game currently on the market. Basically, any laptop with a C2D CPU and a 8600m GT will run it ok. But if you're picky and like to run games at high resolutions and high detail, then you will have to go with at least a 8800m GTS or a an overclocked 8700m GT to run Crysis smoothly.
At the moment, Asus' best GPU available on a laptop is the 8700m GT which can be found on the G2Sg-A1. -
best buy is having a special on the g1sn-x1 for 1049. You can play crysis on medium settings but not high.
-
oh ok ....G1sg is expensive
I can afford gateway...I guess but ASUS is better ,no? -
It depends on what model and factor you're comparing.
If you're looking at the Gateway P-6831, then no Asus laptop can compete with it in terms of graphics performance. In terms of build quality, then Asus will be better, with the exception of the F series (maybe on par). For CS, Asus in North America is top notch and in another league. -
so how much money do yo u have for a laptop?
is this a graduation thing?(if it is then get a p-6860 from best buy )
well i got the p6831 for graduation -
yeap...Cant spend more than 1200 bucks
so thinking for gateway....how s the service of gateway? -
there fine nothing special nothing great
-
ok
thankx man
