Hey guys ive got a strange issue. whenever i try to put my v1s to sleep (FN + F1 or just alt+F4 -> sleep) it doesnt do it. instead, it locks my computer. i checked the power options and i already set my computer to sleep when i hit the snooze button but its not working anymore. i used it all the time before and cant think of anything i mightve done to make this happen. help plz!

What video driver are you using? I had a similer issue (laptop would wakeup, but the screen would not) with one of the drivers at laptopvideo2go. Most of the ones I've used without real issues. I'm currently on 167.62 with no real issues. Card runs a smidge warmer, but it is warmer lately.

maybe its because the drivers you are using are for desktops and those gpu's require more power.. maybe something in the files thats telling your computer to use power you cant support

cuz there arent any good mobile drivers. there are still device id's built into the chip that you got and when you use modded drivers it confuses the chip into thinking that it something else and then it tells itself that its a mobile chip and then a desktop chip. actually making it work harded cuz it doesnt know what how the hell to actually process something. sleep relies on ram as does hibernation.. i would suggest clearing out your hibernation file under clean up the hard disk. it would be as big as the amount of ram that you have installed. heres what you gotta do. go on to support.asus.com and download the oldest video driver you can find for your comp. install it and reboot. then go to windows update and check for new updates. it should find a newer vga driver for you. this is the one you want. try that and tell me if it works.
