Hi,
I've a wireless network saved in my network preferences. On my Windows XP, if the network is hidden, even its on my preferences or not, i cant connect to that network. I just can connect when the network is not hidden...
I know that on Windows 7, its possible to connect to a favourite network even if its hidden. Is there any way or utility to do the same on Windows XP?
Thanks!

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
As I recall, you need to connect wifi at least once with the router being set to broadcast the SSID so you can link the ID and network password ... then you can turn off the SSID broadcast and the notebook should still find it and link in.
Sometimes, it seems it will forget that the networks are around (my daughter's HP does this on occasion), but if I go in and View Available Networks and re-enter the network password then it will go back to auto connecting.
What is your router, and what settings do you have for it and in your XP Wireless Network tabs? -
Well, my problem is that i cant see the network at all, when its hidden... but it is on my favourite networks. On that network settings, i think it is everything configured by default, however, i've seen an option on the tabs that says something like that (translated word by word): "Connect even if the network is not broadcasting". This option has a checkbox and it is currently unchecked... Could be this option? That i've to check?
Thanks. -

.
If it doesn't fix, what language are you working in (it sounds like maybe not english, since you mention word by word translating)? -
Didn't work. I've checked that option and im on the same situation... if the network is hidden, i can't connect.
