Is the temps about the same or is the RX05 significantly hotter?

I dont know, but I do know that the heatsink or cooling system design is somewhat different.

I ordered the G50VT-X5 and was too impatient to wait for it to arrive, so I went to my local BB and bought the RX05. I found that it ran considerably hotter, even in idle, than the G50VT and battery life was horrible (less than 2 hrs). I don't really play PC games, so it was really a no brainer for me, I returned the G51. $250 cheaper, runs cooler, nearly 4 hrs battery life, slightly faster cpu, and I actually felt more comfortable on the G50VT keyboard, though the G51 still has a killer keyboard plus kb lighting.

The heatsinks on the two notebooks are the same.
