Hello everyone, first time poster, long time reader.

I purchased a N53jq not too long ago and I was interested in getting a cooling pad for it. Does anyone else find it kind of odd that the cooling intake on the N53J's are so minuscule? I mean two tiny little vents over the HD and memory don't seem like enough.

Anyways I bought a thermaltake massive 23 and I tested my cpu temp by playing SC II for 30 minutes. With the cooler the max temp was 78, w/o it was 80. Granted it was during a cool night. I am planning on testing by playing SC II for a couple hours and seeing if anything changes.

Basically, I was disappointed with the performance. Should I just take back the thermaltake and buy another cooling pad, if so which one? Does anyone know of a good cooling pad that will work with the N53J

    Thanks a bunch,
    Wevo

I personally like the Enermax Aelous CP001. Not only does it look great, but it offers a sloped surface for your laptop which I personally find it ergonomically better than those with a flat design. Cooling efficiency is also very good. I wrote a review for this cooling pad a while ago, so feel free to check it out.

Thanks for the info. It looks like one that I can put the airflow in front where the intake is. When u cool ur Asus, do u take the front cover off??

With the small intake will buying a cooler even make a difference?

    Thanks
