Ive been trying to keep my Asus C90 cool as much as possible. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to do make it cooler. Heres what Ive got so far.

Note: All tests done with 8600m gt ddr2 w/ 169.25 in Vista Home Priemium, overclock gpu to 530/500, with a 3 fan laptop cooler, the rest of the specs are in my sig. 3dmark06 was used to test it.

    1. Stock everything, no mods or nothing.
    Idle-68
    Max-91
    Score-4054

    2. Flipped the GPU-Fan
    Idle-68
    Max-93
Score- Got artifacts so I quit, but it was hotter so I just threw that idea out

    3. Took off the bottem case.
    Idle-54
    Max-78
    Score-4043

    4. The drill holes mod under gpu found at http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=176690
    Idle-60
    Max-86
    Score-4044

I can live with 86 max as it is now, but I would like to see it cooler. Also you can see, the no bottom was very good, but the problem is that....you sorta need a bottom...lol. I am looking currently into the back four fans for maybe turning a fan around, of a fan replacement or other little things that will help and I'll post results here.

Yeah my mod worked great for me, a better cooler is about the best you can do from there. That new digital cowboy cooler looks great.

Also obviously a cooler running cpu/gpu will help and dont overclock unless you need it.
