    Description by the vendor.
Not to be confused with the older core duo, this laptop has the latest Intel Core 2 duo ( T7400 ) Merom with 4Mb of cache running at 2.16Ghz.
This is the same core as the Conroe but designed for lower power consumption in the mobile PC market.
The Core 2 Duo offers 64Bit support and double the cache of the Core Duo (Yonah) processors that are being phased out.

Dedicated ATI mobility X1600 graphics card with 256MB of RAM.

The combination of a fast graphics adaptor with dedicated memory and one of the fastest CPU's currently available for mobile PC's, this machine would be perfectly suited as a desktop replacement capable of any tasks from CAD through to playing games.

I live in New Zealand where early adaptation of technology is not what we do best, was quite surprised to see this on a NZ auction website sold by a private vendor. Is this for real? his price is not even that high for NZ standards and i am quite tempted to buy it if this things real. Is this available in the States as well?

They are for sale, but its not a public release by Intel, usually they are engineering samples.
