I've recently recieved my Asus G50vt notebook, with the standard T9400 2.53ghz centrino 2. I was wondering if any1 knows the safe operating temperatures for this cpu, and also, the safe temps for the Nvidia 9800m GS... if you could provide a link to a reputable website which shows this information, that would be great.. (i've looked myself to no avail)

after playing a game for a couple of minutes, the temps reached 60C and 76C respectively. which im sure is fine... realised i had the cpu overclocked, which i wont using often...

    Thanks for your time..

the operating limit of that cpu is 105C, when the temperature is reached, the cpu will usually throttle itself back to reduce heat, and makes the processor runs at lower clock, and might even shut one of the core.

nvidia does not released the spec to my knowledge. but from what i've heard it is around 120-125c.

i do not recommend overclocking your laptop. personally i never overclock all my computer. imo, too much hassle, too little reward.

It can go up to 105C, but It really shouldnt get higher than 70C to be safe. ;)
