So, I've had my F3sv for 3 years now and it's served me pretty well. It's had about one major issue a year (mega corrupted HD year 1, Fried Motherboard year 2). In those instances, however, it was covered under the warranty, and Asus was absolutely terrific about taking care of the issues. Great. Even when I lived in Japan.

Now, here we are, and it's that time of the year. Recently, the computer had started crashing randomly. I accepted this as an odd occurence the first time, grew concerned the next time. And then Sunday evening, i got a blue screen I'd never seen before on boot up, more crashes, and a boot loop. It said startup was corrupted. During this time it had strange crashes and screens with oddly colored lines (which I've associated with fried boards in the past as it did that when my MB went).

I tried again next day, and over a series of tries and crashes, was able to pull my files off and then use the system restore CD. No problems following that. Then last night, it crashes and recovers (blaming the video driver... latest from the site). Then this morning while watching the news and eating my cheerios, it crashes and gets stuck in the bootloop again.

I'm now outside the warranty, so just sending it off to Asus again is not really an option. It's had a good 3 year run so I wouldn't cry if I had to replace it, but if I can squeeze a little more life out of it, that'd be great.

What does this sound like to you folks? Thanks in advance!
