Hi!
I was wondering if anyone had any experience buying an Asus laptop with a credit card in order to extend the laptop warranty even farther then the two years Asus offers? I know that some credit cards will add up to a year extra time?
Any comments or suggestions? I am looking to get my first credit card...So I figured it would be good to get one that extended my warranty along with having a piece of plastic![]()

Why not? As long as the credit card doesn't exempt computers (I'm not aware of any that do) you should take advantage.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a specific card that they have had a good experience with?

I'd always use my American Express card to purchase any high ticket item. For notebooks/laptops, Amex "will extend the terms of the original U.S. manufacturer's warranty for up to one additional year on eligible purchases with warranties of 5 years or less, when the purchase is charged to the Card."
I've never actually had to use the Amex warranty on any of my notebooks, but given their reputation and my past experience regarding other disputes, they have always sided with the consumer and are extremely fast.
