I'm looking at purchasing a Asus F3JP off of Newegg and was completely sold on the unit until reading one section of a user review of the laptop:
    ------------
Cons: I bought several of these machines for customers, and although they are well built and a good value, I have had NON-STOP PROBLEMS with downloading and installing Critical Windows Updates. The updates will either 1) Fail, 2) Update and Install Again and Again, even after the system says they were installed successfully, 3) Cause Error Messages, or 4) Some or All of The Above! I had to strip one machine and reinstall everything, a huge job. Either the hardware or the software on these machines, as shipped by ASUS, are not compatible with the latest Windows Critical Updates. These machines worry me.
    -------------

Have others encountered this problem? I'm hoping this is just a random fluke, but I want to make sure before plopping down $1200. Thanks.
