The specs on my g1s are in the sticky. These were screenshots from the demo, taken without overclocking and using the stock drivers. Id be delighted to answer any questions about performance.

Fps dropped a lot during ingame videos (single digits)

Slowdowns only occurred during the cinematic videos inside the game. But other than that, the performance was great with all medium settings (except high on textures) and 1024 ×768.

Do you think would be a good difference between G1S-A1 and G1S-B1 performance?

The only difference is the CPU (2.4ghz compared to 2.2ghz in the G1s-A1) and HDD (200gb 7200rpm instead of 160gb 5400rpm). You don't need the CPU upgrade, it's not cost effective, plus the games are GPU limited nowadays. it's a waste of money, unless you're doing something really CPU-intensive, such as heavy video editing. The hard drive is somewhat faster and larger, but imo i don`t think its worth the $400 in price difference. if you need more space you can get an external 1tb at 7200rpm ($330 at newegg).

    Yeah that's right..
I don't understand much but, can you play Crysis well with 20 fps? If you low somethings you will get more fps right?
and.. is GDDR3 and DDR3 the same thing? cause i know there are 8600mgts ddr2..

gddr3 is the fastest version of 8600M GT. I didn`t notice that the fps were in the the lower range until i use fraps...im not a videophile and cant pick up the difference of higher fps, but the game played excellent. my best guess is that i got a solid 20-25 fps gameplay, because theres not many very graphically intense moments to cause slow downs all of a sudden. tomorow ill try to find soem time and repost the screenshots with overclocking and upgrading the drivers and see what the difference is. ill also try fiddling with the settings as well.

My experience with the demo on my G1S is that low 20s FPS is more playable than it would be in any other shooter like this. Maybe that has something to do with the motion blur added in.

Thanks for the screenies, punjabimunda, but only 800x600 or 1024x768?! Yeuch! I think you should be able to manage 1280x800 at least with all settings on medium except for shadows (low) and some non-shaders details on high.

Does the retail versus run better than the demo?

I installed the demo on my G1S and though the frames were horrible unless you turned everything way down.

Crysis reminds me of Far Cry... I don't see the big deal frankly.
