Some companies had toolkits which let you modify the BMP/PCX/HEX file which was embedded in the file. It's BIOS-version specific, so you'd have to have the right major version. Most ASUS use Award (older) or Phoenix (newer) BIOSes. This means modifying your BIOS flash file, which is something you take your chances with if it messes up. But it WOULD be a cool personalized mod, especially for a laptop.

On a side note, Intel actually has an integration package which does exactly that for larger resellers using their desktop motherboards.

asus provides a program for some of their motherboards which allow them to chagne the bootup logo. i am unsure as to whether it would work for notebook bios's. wouldn't hurt to try, try looking for the program. asus mylogo. it does not edit the current bios directly but rather a bios file on the HD. if it does not load the bios, than its not compatible. so no harm done.

Thanks for all the advice, i'll probally look into the "asus mylogo" thing too but i'm skeptical it would work =) it would be like too easy? haha

On a side note i've been to the intel integration website and its super cryptic for the model numbers which i guess intel does for the various partners, think i may have to dig deeper to see which models corelates to the W7J & V1J models which we're only using. Corporate policy to move away from dell! haha
